Animal Care Program

What is the Program? How do I get involved in the program? Sucess Stories Link to Program
The animal care program is designed to provide information about the patients at our facility, their journey to recovery, and also educate people about various marine animals. Our patients include injured or sick marine animals such as sea turtles, seals, dolphins, and whales. They go through a rigorous rehabilitation process before they are released back into the wild. The program also offers information on different marine animals, their habitats, behaviors, and conservation efforts. It's a great way to learn more about these amazing creatures and how we can help protect them. There are many different ways you can get involved in this program. You can donate, adopt an animal, or simply just learn about our animals and spread the word. One of our great success stories is about a northern fur seal named Reina. She was found stranded on the beach suffering from starvation and the effects of domoic acid. Luckily for Reina our veterans were able to flush the toxins from her system and give her fluids and domoic acid free fish before any serious damage was done. Animal Care Program
